In questo post prendo in considerazione una situazione reale: il sito web dell’agenzia immobiliare Mediaimmobili, mediaimmobili.it importato nell’interfaccia del famoso social network, mediante wp-book e la creazione di una semplice applicazione. Questo è il risultato: apps.facebook.com/mediaimmobili. La prima cosa da fare è verificare che la versione di WP sia almeno la 2.5. Quindi scaricare da questo link l’ultima versione di wp-book (compatibile anche con WP 2.7). A questo punto caricare il file wpbook.php nella directory dei plugin di WP, e tutta la cartella wp-facebook nella directory dov’è inserito il vostro tema (normalmente localizzata così: /wp-content/themes/wp-facebook/). Adesso loggatevi dentro FB e andate a questo indirizzo http://www.facebook.com/developers e cliccare su “Set Up New Application”, dateli un nome, ad esempio “Prova”, e dopo aver accettato i termini e le condizioni d’uso di FB salvate le modifiche. Adesso copiate la chiave API e la secret key (denominata impropriamente “Invisibile”) in un file di blocco note e conservatelo in un luogo sicuro nel vostro pc. Nella schermata principale nel campo “Richiama URL” inserite l’url completo del vostro blog o sito con lo slash finale tipo http://www.miosito.it/, inserite una breve descrizione, se avete un’icona personalizzata o un logo caricateli da questa schermata, infine inserite un contatto e-mail e salvate le modifiche. Ora andate nella schemata “Modelli” e inserite nel campo “Modelli Pagina URL”  il nome della vostra applicazione, in questo caso “prova”, poi in successione selezionare “IFrame”, “Resizable” e “Full width (760px)”, e salvate le modifiche. Infine selezionate la schermata “Profilo utente” e inserite nel campo “Nome Tab” una parola o frase che caratterizza il vostro blog, questa verrà visualizzata nel vostro profilo di FB. Salvate sempre le modifiche. Adesso loggatevi dentro WP, attivate wp-book e settate le impostazioni del plugin inserendo negli appositi campi, in successione, la chiave API, la secret key e il nome dell’applicazione, nel caso specifico “prova”. A questo punto puntate il browser su apps.facebook.com/prova e il gioco è fatto! Ulteriori personalizzazioni si possono effettuare modificando il file index.php contenuto nella cartella wp-facebook.
